The Sammy White Jazz Band

A project dedicated to the wonderful world of Traditional Jazz. Joanna Rimmer and her septet perform tunes from the first 30 years of the last century with nods in the directions of Bix, Fletcher Henderson, Ellington, Jelly Roll Morton, Paul Whiteman, and James P. Johnson, plus tunes made immortal by the likes of Al Jolson, Ruth Etting, Judy Garland, Billie Holiday and Bessie Smith. Joanna also performs here in original 1920’s dresses. From Harlem to Hollwood !
